Billy Joel Instructs Howard Stern To Tell Fans “I’m Not Dying” After His Brain Disorder Diagnosis

On Tuesday’s episode of The Howard Stern Show, the broadcaster shared a health update on his good friend, Billy Joel. The Piano Man instructed Stern to reassure his listening audience and relay the message that “I’m not dying!” following his recent brain disorder diagnosis. “We had dinner together, it went fine,” Stern said after sharing a post-diagnosis meal with the music legend. “[Joel] does have issues. But he said to me, ‘Yeah, you can tell people: I’m not dying.’ He wants people to know that. He’s got to deal with some medical stuff. But he was delightful. We had a great time with the wives. Billy’s doing okay.”  The 76-year-old Joel recently cancelled all of his upcoming performances due to medical issues related to his brain disorder, which is called normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), and he is now focused on his recovery through treatment and physical therapy.
