Peter Frampton starts his tour in celebration of the 35th anniversary of Frampton Comes Alive tonight in Red Bank, New Jersey. He'll play the album in its entirety and to prepare, he listened to it for the first time in many years.
"We have not done since 1976 the entire thing all the way through," says Frampton, who adds that listening to it again got him "in the spirit of it."
The North American leg runs through October 22nd in Nashville where he will do a benefit for victims of last year's flood there. He will then head to Europe in November followed by South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Frampton brings the tour to the PNC Pavilion at Riverbend on Aug. 28th.
