Show news, contests, upcoming guests and more.

Opening Day of the baseball season in Cincinnati is like no other place.  Hope you'll join us for the Findlay Market Parade.  That will follow our show on Monday featuring Hall Of Famer Joe Morgan, Reds great George Foster, our buddies Chick Ludwig and Hal McCoy of the Dayton Daily News...and more!  Get in the spirit with us Monday morning 5 - 9!

That's Harold Dates of the Hamilton County SPCA with Chris and "Frank's Friend" for this week.  She's an 8-week old Austrailian Shepherd mix.  Click here for adoption info and listen for a new pet each Wednesday morning at 7:20.

Next up on tomorrow's show...you can qualify for the Reds Opening Day ticket prize package, good money-saving advice from John Matarese, "Beat The Box Office!" and a bunch of funny stuff and Janeen startin' something.

Check out pictures from Monday night's red carpet premiere in Maysville of hometown-boy George Clooney's new movie "Leatherheads."  Janeen and WGRR's midday personality Rockin' Ron made the trip down (I have a cold, darn the luck).  As always with Queen Janeen, it was an adventure!  Anyway, tomorrow morning you can get in for the Opening Day Reds tickets -- including V.I.P. treatment with second baseman Brandon Phillips -- and also Beat The Box Office!

"One Day At A Time" star Valerie Bertinelli talks about her new book and life with/without rocker Eddie Van Halen.  Listen to Married With Microphones Monday morning at 7:20.  Besides your chance to get in on the Reds tickets for Opening Day and more, you can "Beat The Box Office with us.  Listen Monday and we'll tell you what 2 great acts you can see in concert this summer -- and maybe win tickets before they go on sale!  Happy Easter!!

SPCA's Harold Dates and Janeen show off Frank's Friend for this week -- a Boston Terrier mix.  Listen each Wednesday at 7:20am for a great pet you can adopt.  Click here for info.

While it's nice to get away, it's great to be back home and on WGRR with you.  Hope you enjoyed our reports from the WGRR Listener Cruise on the Pride Of Aloha, as well as our photos.  We have a few more pics from one of our last excursions this past Friday in Hilo, Hawaii...the Circle Of Fire helicopter ride.  It's an aerial tour of the Earth's most geologically active environment, the Kilauea volcano.  We flew over it;s most recent eruption sites, and even saw our ship from the air.  Cool stuff.  Uh, make that hot, actually.  See more on our main page.

Monday we attended the fabulous Lu'au Kalamaku at Kauai. with incredible Hawaiian food and entertainment.  Tuesday was spent shopping around Nawiliwili (Kauai).  That evening we departed for our cruise around the south coast of Molokai.  Since we had a full day at sea Wednesday, Janeen and I sponsored a "meet & greet" with WGRR listeners at the Outrigger Club on board ship (see photos).

The Zipline excursion mentioned in our last blog entry was great.  Hope you got to hear some of it on our show with Keith & JD.  Check out the photos of that and other events, plus more pics of WGRR listeners on the cruise with us.

Snow shovels?  Road salt?  They don't have any idea here.  That suits us fine.  We hate to report it but it has been sunny with beautiful blue skies and 82 -- at least -- since our arrival March 5.  Our ship, the Pride of Aloha, left  the Honolulu pier the evening of March 6.  Until then, we spent time onboard the ship checking out the buffets, the pools and visiting Pearl Harbor.  Awesome.  Friday, March 7, we'll dock in Kahului, Maui.  There we will do the Zipline adventure over a volcano.  I hope to record Janeen's reaction as she literally hangs by a thread! Saturday evening we leave Maui for Kona, where we're gonna snorkel. Check out some of our pictures by clicking below on "read more."  Listen for our updates mornings!
