Chris and I have started a 12 week commitment to tone up our middle age flabby bodies with Beat personal training. BEAT took pictures of us (pre-workout) and we are not ready for Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition anytime soon!  We know this will not be easy, but we are willing to change our eating habits and exercise for some BUFF stuff to strut on the  beach!  Seriously, in the past week we have learned so much about nutrition and exercise and we have very modest goals.  Chris to lose a pants size and some weight and me weight and better looking legs and toning up the turkey waddle under my arms! It is so fascinating and the great trainers at BEAT care about us as individuals with a plan specifically for us.  In the coming days, i will be telling you about the exercise program.  Today we began with the human powered "treadmill," or as our trainer Matt Naegle named it, the "dreadmill!"

We have also been eating more primitively, without soda pop (HARD) and all the sweets we are used to.  Chris has a WICKED sweet tooth.  I will tell you more tomorrow about our program and also pass along Matt's healthy recipe for some awesome pancakes!

Re: Beat Personal training Day 1

Hey guys!!! I also work out with Matt at Beat and let me tell you, you are in good hands! The pancake recipe does sound a bit crazy but it is actually pretty darn good!!! My hardest thing to overcome was not eating carbs with dinner and not snacking in front of the tv. Good luck, I'm sure Matt will do wonders for you both!
