The incredible triumph of Queen‘s bio-pic Bohemian Rhapsody continued last (Sunday) night at the Golden Globes, where it was named Best Motion Picture – Drama and its star, Rami Malek, took Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his portrayal of the late Freddie Mercury.
In his acceptance speech, Malek thanked Queen — specifically guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, who served as consultants on the film and were at the Golden Globes — and Mercury for, well, being Freddie Mercury. Before taking the stage to accept the award, Malek hugged May, who was seated next to him in the audience.
May and Taylor joined Malek and the cast and crew on stage to celebrate the win.
On Sunday night, Queen was once again the champions of the world — or at least the Golden Globes.
